Plant Based Lifestyle Advocate

Davina’s plant-based inclinations can be traced back to her childhood curiosity about nature and animals. Her active pursuit began in the year 1999, frequenting a vegetarian food stall as a college student and meeting her first vegetarian friend a year later. Although her parents did not allow her to be vegetarian due to their own views on a healthy diet, Davina continued doing research on the lifestyle through books, articles and documentaries and taught herself how to cook. In 2012, Davina made the full transition to a vegetarian diet and witnessed her mediocre level of health dramatically improve in a few months. She became a vegan in early 2016.
Her plant-based lifestyle persona, Davina Da Vegan is the platform she uses to share recipes, green living tips, and places to enjoy plant-based meals in the Klang Valley. Her online video, “Where Do I Get My Protein From” went viral with over 15,000 views. She has since collaborated with health food clients such as Spoon Health and Diet Angel Enterprise, performed public cooking demos, had her recipes published in the press and delivered talks about her plant-based journey.
She aspires to spread awareness of the benefits and joys of a plant-based diet for a healthier Malaysia.

Plant-Based Power: Vegan Protein Workshop

Where do vegans get their protein from? Screening of related video, the basics of plant-based protein sources, debunking protein myths, Q&A, Making Temaki (Seaweed) Rolls with Tempeh OR a protein-based recipe with Soluxe Pea Protein.
