Jocelyn Gordon is a mother, dancer and yogini traveling around the world with her husband and daughters.  She believes that transformation can be fun and has created two holistic fitness programs that combine dance with yoga and mindfulness meditation – HoopYogini™ and Bhakti Boogie® Yoga. Having studied, trained and taught Dance, Yoga and Massage Therapy, her offerings provide a multi-disciplinary approach making self-care, self-restoration and self-realization accessible, enjoyable and relevant to the modern woman. Jody Lloyd is a music producer/songwriter and poet from New Zealand. Starting out as a rapper in his teens, he was later signed to Universal Records. That experience led him to operate his own recording label producing and releasing over 25 albums to date. His latest releases fuse spoken word, sound healing and hip hop and are known as the Perfect Freq (for frequency) series.  Jody has enjoyed a prolific and creative career, and in addition to making original music for meditation, contemplation, movies and instructional videos, he loves to get body’s moving as an Ecstatic Dance DJ.

HoopYogini™ is transformational fitness merging hula hooping with Hatha yoga and mindfulness meditation. In this workshop, you will be led into a series of accessible and dynamic vinyasas that challenge you to develop the fitness require to live the life of your dreams.

• Simple techniques to gracefully move the hoop on and off the body

Open to all! No hoop, dance, yoga, or meditation experience required. This is an accessible yet physical and mindfulness-based challenge for all levels of movement enthusiasts.
 

HoopYogini – Inner Spirals:

 

Moving the Hoop Up & Down the Body

 
Now that you can hoop on your waist in both directions, this intermediate level journey will show you how to “spiral” the hoop up from your hips, to your waist, chest and shoulders and back down again. Experience the central column within around which you will rotate your body to create dynamic movement that stokes the inner fire.. Through warm up sequences and yoga postures, you will connect with your muscular and motor ability to isolate and move different sections of your body which allows for greater range of motion in life, in your hoop and on the dance floor.

Sing, jump, howl and move from your heart. Dance like no one is watching and as if world peace depended on your momentous expression of movement. Allow your inhibitions to drop and divine grace to flow through you. Jocelyn aka DJ Joy takes you on a auditory journey into an ecstatic field of possibility and then guides you softly into surrender within a sweet and sweaty sivasana.
 

Meditation Tapas – A “sampling” journey making meditation accessible and enjoyable

 
Don’t think you can meditate? Do you get agitated “sitting” and focusing on being still? Perhaps seated meditation is not your thing. In this journey you experience five different meditation practices- mindfulness (the practice of being with what is), walking/moving, breath centered, body scan and lovingkindness (extending compassion, love and friendliness towards oneself and others).
 
Learn Three Part Breath, a gentle, full body breath that reduces anxiety. Realize different levels of meditation from mental de-cluttering (watching and noticing the swirl of activity) to spaciousness between thoughts, timelessness and an expansion of your energy. Discover which meditation(s) speak to you and guide(s) you into a relaxed mind and open heart. Explore ways to integrate meditation into your daily life.
